Depending on your product, advertising directly to kids can be a great use of your advertising budget. There are a few things to know when advertising to teenagers. First, teens buy for the same reasons many adults buy things--to feel good about themselves, to have products that will simplify or enhance their lives, and because other people have the same product. When advertising to the youth market, be sure and use catchy phrases, a "hip" look, and appeal to kidsī intelligence. Check out teen magazines for trends in youth purchasing.
